This site exists to tell you about Cinefin. It is designed to know as little about you as possible.
What this site collects
Nothing unless you choose to give us something.
This site uses no analytics, tracking scripts, cookies, or third-party requests. Fonts, images, and other site assets are served directly from this site.
Like most websites, your visit may appear in ordinary web-server logs, which can include your IP address and the page you requested. These logs are used only to keep the site running and are not shared with anyone.
Email signup
If you provide your email address to hear about the release, your email address is the only information we collect through the signup.
We use it for one purpose:
- to email you about Cinefin releases and, occasionally, notable project news.
We will never sell or share your email address, or use it for unrelated purposes.
Every email includes an unsubscribe option. If you unsubscribe, your address will be removed from the mailing list.
Your address is stored by Buttondown, the mailing-list service we use. Signing up sends you a confirmation email; you're only added to the list once you click the link in it.
The software itself
Cinefin — the application — is self-hosted and runs entirely on your own hardware. It does not send telemetry or contact us in the background.
This privacy policy applies to this website only. It does not describe the privacy practices of the Cinefin application or any software you choose to run alongside it.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
There is no tracking here to announce, so we don't expect this page to change often.
