This site exists to tell you about Cinefin. It is designed to know as little about you as possible.

What this site collects

Only anonymous, aggregate statistics about how the site is used, plus anything you choose to give us.

This site uses no cookies or advertising. Fonts, images, and other site assets are served directly from this site. The only third-party request is to our analytics provider, described below.

Analytics

We use Umami Cloud, a privacy-focused analytics service run by Umami Software, Inc., to understand which pages are visited and how people find the site. Umami processes this data on our behalf and does not sell it or use it for its own purposes. You can read Umami's own privacy policy for details of how it handles data.

When you visit a page, Umami records:

• the page you viewed and the site that referred you, if any
• your browser, operating system, and device type
• your screen size and language
• your approximate country, derived from your IP address

Umami does not use cookies, does not store your IP address, and does not track you across other websites. The data cannot be used to identify you personally and is only ever viewed in aggregate.

This site respects your browser's Do Not Track setting. If it is turned on, no analytics data is collected from your visit at all.

Server logs

Like most websites, your visit may appear in ordinary web-server logs, which can include your IP address and the page you requested. These logs are used only to keep the site running and are not shared with anyone.

The software itself

Cinefin — the application — is self-hosted and runs entirely on your own hardware. It can send anonymized telemetry, but this feature is opt-in only.

This privacy policy applies to this website only. It does not describe the privacy practices of the Cinefin application or any software you choose to run alongside it.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
